A little bit of rain didn't stop Years 1 & 2 exploring our school grounds this week. With the help of Little Green Change (a fantastic environmental organisation), they planted some daffodil bulbs near our forest school area & learned about all about pollination. @stchris_trust— St. Sidwell's C of E (@stsidwellsce) Dec 4, 2025

In Welly Time, Reception were using their sense of sight to look closely to draw a tree from real life. They looked at the roots, trunk, bark, branches & twigs. They looked carefully & thought about the marks they made. #findingthelight #flourishingcommunities @stchris_trust— St. Sidwell's C of E (@stsidwellsce) Nov 27, 2025

This week, Year 1 have been reading maps to help them understand where they live & how places are connected.
Using Google Earth & Google Maps, they zoomed in on our city from high up in the sky. They found our school, their homes, & lots of the places they know. @stchris_trust pic.twitter.com/8uoehyfozW— St. Sidwell's C of E (@stsidwellsce) November 27, 2025

On their welly walk this week, Nursery searched for signs that the temperature had dropped. They found ice all over the school and talked about it being frozen water. ❄️🧊 #findingthelight #flourishingcommunities @stchris_trust pic.twitter.com/blkqxsoVTA— St. Sidwell's C of E (@stsidwellsce) November 21, 2025
